As part of our Light and Shadow science topic in year six, we design and make our own periscopes, that use mirrors to reflect light, allowing us to see over and around objects. We also learn about how light travels and why shadows are formed and why they appear to move throughout the day. We also create shadow puppets and create a WW2 puppet show using a source of light and opaque objects, which links to our history topic.
