During muddy Mondays to celebrate Bonfire night the Nursery 3s children sat by the fire pit. They talked about what they could hear at that fire, using vocabulary such as “crackling” and “bumping.” They observed the smokiness of the fire and talked about what it smelled like. We talked about how to stay safe during Bonfire night and the children could recall lots of learning from our safety week a couple of weeks ago. We had lots of fun toasting marshmallows over the fire and eating them when they had cooled!
