Some of the Nursery 3s children took part in a science experiment where we created fireworks in a jar! The children checked through the equipment and resources before we started. They followed the method to measure out water in to a jar, then mixed together oil and food colouring. They then added the oil mixture to the water which created a firework like effect in the jar. The children discussed what was happening: “it’s going up and down”
“It’s moving all around”
“It looks like tiny fireworks”
“That looks like the green firework I seen in the sky!”
